"Our primary telemedical objective is to shorten the time frame between the onset and the recognition of your horse’s problem."
Bob Grisel, DVM
Founder & CEO, The ATLANTA EQUINE Clinic

Simply put, we will either provide the answer or provide you with a detailed plan to secure the answer. Once a diagnosis is confirmed, we will set-up a detailed treatment strategy with the intention of reestablishing your horse’s health and soundness. This is accomplished directly or through your local veterinary team.

How We Arrive at a Likely Diagnosis

The most influential consultations are those that utilize multiple forms of input. Establishing abnormal patterns across a full body of material(s) helps us to apply clinical significance or insignificance to our telemedical findings. For instance, we may detect visible abnormalities during initial radiographic interpretation of a fetlock joint. Evidence of correlating gait deficits observed during subsequent video review of the horse in motion strengthens our suspicions that this fetlock may indeed be the source of the problem. By contrast, a lack of correlating lameness detracts from this possibility, prompting us to look elsewhere. In summary, the more pieces of evidence that point to a potential diagnosis, the more compelling that diagnosis becomes.

How We Formulate a Treatment Plan

The key to effective treatment lies in an accurate diagnosis. Once a diagnosis is confirmed, we then use research, literature, experience, and local veterinary input (if applicable) to outline an effective strategy for your horse.
